Derby Grammar School PTA

Derby Grammar School has a thriving Parent Teacher Association which brings together parents, staff and pupils for a number of fun activities, whilst at the same time raising funds for additional equipment to further enhance the pupils' education.

Amongst the activities that the PTA regularly runs or supports are: New parents' teas; the summer fete which takes place in June in the School's beautiful grounds; the House cross country and tug of war and the Children in Need concert. In addition the PTA holds quizzes, family walks, wine tasting evenings and family fun nights.

Each year the PTA raises significant funds and has in the past purchased items such as: a portable sound system; benches; additional staging; playground equipment and a new mini bus.

The PTA is an important part of the fabric of School life and welcomes all parents as members.
