DIRECTIONS TO DERBY GRAMMAR SCHOOL, RYKNELD ROAD, LITTLEOVER, DERBY DE23 4BX

By rail:

To Derby station, which is a ten minute journey away by taxi and has regular services operating to London, Birmingham and the North.

By Road:

Visitors are advised to approach the School via the A38 to the south of Derby, avoiding the city centre.

From the A38:

Exit at the Littleover junction. If travelling from the North take the first exit and from the south take the third exit at the roundabout, to take the A5250 Rykneld Road. Travel straight on at the first roundabout and then take the second turning right, which is the entrance to the School.

From the M1 Southbound:

Leave at junction 28 and join the A38 south (signposted Derby) Continue for approximately 20 miles, bypassing the city centre, then follow directions above.

From the M1 Northbound:

leave at junction 24 and join the A50 east (signposted Derby). Continue for approximately 13 miles and leave at the junction with the A38 north. Follow directions above.

From the West via the M6 and A50:

Leave the M6 at junction 15 (Stoke on Trent) and join the A50. Continue for approximately 30 miles, leaving to join the A38 north. Follow directions given above.

On arrival:

Parking for visitors is available in the car park. Visitors are asked to report to Reception.

DIRECTIONS TO PASTURES SPORTS FIELDS, MERLIN WAY, MICKLEOVER DE3 0UJ

From Derby Grammar School:

Turn left out of School gates and first right into Havenbaulk Lane. At T junction, turn left. At second T junction turn left. At roundabout follow signs for Etwall, take second exit, keeping Mickleover Court Hotel on your left. Turn first left into Hospital Lane, (signposted for the Garden Centre). Go straight on at mini-roundabout into Merlin Way. Follow road past the golf course, Pastures is on the left behind the church.

From the North:

Leave A38 southbound at A50 junction (signposted Stoke) and follow the A516 which goes up and over the A38. Turn left, signposted Mickleover. As road curves to the left, turn next right into Hospital Lane (signposted for the Garden Centre). Go straight on at mini-roundabout into Merlin Way. Follow road past the golf course, Pastures is on the left behind the church.

From the South:

From the A50, leave at the A516 Hilton junction. Travel towards Derby on the A516. Leave the road just after it becomes dual carriageway at the Mickleover junction. At the Mickleover Court Hotel take first exit and follow road over the bridge. Turn left into Hospital Lane, follow instructions as above.

Parking:

It is important to note that under no circumstances should buses turn into the entrance of the social club. Mini buses may park in the car park, however, coaches must travel to the School and park there until departure time. Parents may use the car park but are asked to park considerately as this car park is shared with the Golf and Social Club members.
