Derby Grammar School Scholarships and Bursaries

Scholarships reflect a student's ability and excellence and will normally remain with the recipient throughout their time in school. All scholarships are subject to periodic review by the Headmaster in the light of the performance of the student.

Scholarships are awarded at 11+ and for the sixth form for excellence in academic work, sport and music (both instrumental and choral). The receipt of a scholarship will not preclude parents from seeking additional assistance via bursaries.

Bursaries are available and are awarded on the basis of financial need. Parents who wish to apply for a bursary are asked to contact the bursar as soon as a place has been offered. All applications must be supported by the submission of financial details, which will be held in confidence. All bursaries are reviewed annually.
